Pekin Water Treatment Facility Gets Money From State

PEKIN-- Governor Quinn announces the first project of the Illinois Clean Water Initiative.
Governor Quinn was in Pekin Tuesday morning to announce that the Pekin Water Treatment Facility would receive a $4.8 million loan.
The Clean Water Initiative is part of Governor Quinn's $1 billion investment to water treatment plants.
The loan is jointly administered by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and the Illinois Financial Authority.
Officials say the investment will help offer cleaner, more safe water to communities.
