Southside Bank has been the target of a fraudulent texting scam. Anyone with a working cell phone number can be a victim of the scam. False messages say that people need to reactivate their debit card due to it being deactivated.
Scammers tell them to call this number 309-550-7282.
Southside Bank says there has been no security breach but are urging customers to know this fraudulent and not to respond to this text.
The bank also says they will never text, call, or email anyone requesting any kind of personal financial information.
