A Toulon mom, accused of abandoning her three week old child, was found fit to stand trial Friday in Stark County, according to court officials. Kendra Meaker is accused of endangering the life of her child and lying to police after her newborn was found in a ditch in late September. Police say Meaker first claimed the child was missing which prompted an amber alert. Later, a couple found the child in a ditch in rural Stark County. Meaker waived her right to a preliminary hearing Friday and will be back in court January 11th.
