PEORIA- A group at Bradley University is taking action, helping a local volunteer service continue its mission.
The Bradley University Fellows sponsored the "Gingerbread House Extravaganza" today.
Campus and community organizations decorate houses and then vie for votes.
Spectators pay $1 each time they vote.
All of the money goes to help the Court Appointed Special Advocates of Peoria County, or CASA, and ultimately helping foster children get a permanent home.
"Children who are in foster care, what CASA does, is they'll bring in volunteers and train them. These trained volunteers work with children in the court system and really, it just gives them a voice," says Bradley Fellows Development Committee Chair Kristen Jensen.
You can vote until 7:30 Wednesday night at Bradley's library.
If you miss Wednesday voting, the houses will be out at The Shoppes at Grand Prairie through Christmas.
