BLOOMINGTON- There's good news for out of work employees, they'll be getting paid for their time off the job.
The McDonald's restaurant located on South Main Street shut down last week after the health department found a link to salmonella contamination.
Findings show the traces aren't from food, meaning the bacteria is being transferred by humans.
Now, all workers must be tested before McDonald's can re-open.
Despite the closure, franchise owners say they will pay employees for the hours they are scheduled this month.
No other local McDonald's has been affected by salmonella.
