PEORIA- More than 60 people dug, set and spiked Saturday, hoping to make a difference in the lives of sick kids.
It was the annual Diggin' For Dax volleyball tournament, a fund raiser that supports the Dax Locke Foundation. All of the money raised goes to support Saint Jude Children's Hospital. This year Julie Locke is aiming for $5,000
She lost her son Dax in 2009 and said she's glad to be able to raise money in his name while playing a game she enjoys.
"This is actually a love of mine , volleyball. I've always played volleyball so it's just an honor to be around all my good friends and to raise money," Locke said.
Julie Locke says her overall goal is to raise $1.6 million, and she's already raised $700,000 of it.
