PEORIA -- A local boutique is holding its second annual Purse-a-Palooza, all for a good cause.
Shoppers can bring in a gently used purse and in return get a 30 percent off coupon toward a new one.
Owner Pam Dunne said the old purses will go toward the Dress for Success program. The program will give the purses to single and unemployed women who are trying to get back on their feet and enter the workforce.
Dunne called the fundraised a "win-win."
She said, "A lot of ladies say, Oh If I buy another purse my husband is going to kill me and I thought, you know what better way to get rid of the old purses that I know are great because half of them are bought here and give them to people who really want or need them."
Dunne said her goal is to get 700 purses. You can donate until December 15.
