First Federated Church of Peoria Celebrates 75 Years

PEORIA -- The First Federated Church of Peoria is celebrating 75 years in the community.
It is known as the First Federated Church because it's actually the First Congregational Church and the Second Presbyterian Church combined.
The churches started worshipping as one after a fire left members of the First Congregational Church without a home.
From old Ford cars to wedding photographs, members spent Sunday reflecting on their time together.
Event Coordinator Ralph Dalton said the milestone says a lot about its membership. "Well I just think it's a real highlight to the church. It's something everybody should look forward to because we've had 75 years working together here as two churches, functioning as one."
The church has about 850 members.
