A McLean County man facing four counts of animal cruelty pleads not guilty after police discovered dozens of dead animals on his property last week.
Officers arrested 30 year old Curtis Cleary following a domestic dispute at his Lexington home.
Cleary is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm with no FOID card, domestic battery and four counts of animal cruelty.
Further investigation revealed Cleary's involvement with "Don't Bully my Breed," an animal welfare organization.
But its volunteers say the animals were owned by Cleary and are not affiliated with the group.
He's back in court December 14th for a status hearing.
