Peoria County Okays New Budget

Peoria County residents should pay a little less to the county next year in property taxes after the county board okayed a new budget Thursday night. The owner of a $150,000 home will pay about seven dollars less in property taxes to the county. The new, 127 million dollar operating budget leaves 18 county positions unfilled but also means no employee layoffs at this time.
