Peoria Police Click It or Ticket Campaign

Peoria Police are warning motorists they will be out in full force over the Thanksgiving holiday as part of the Click It or Ticket campaign. IDOT says Illinois has a 93.6 percent daytime safety belt usage rate. In Illinois, during the Thanksgiving holiday period last year, 8 people died in motor vehicle wrecks, four of those deaths involving a drinking driver and over 800 people were hurt. Police say it only takes a few seconds to buckle up.
