PEORIA - Area McDonald's restaurants are taking action for local schools.
All week, locations in the Peoria and Bloomington area are holding events the company calls McTeacher's Night.
Participating restaurants get a little staffing help from teachers and school officials, and in return, donate a portion of the evening profits back to the participating schools.
Three events have already taken place in the Bloomington area, but you still have a chance to help schools in Peoria.
Tuesday, November 13th the McDonald's at 2205 North Knoxville Avenue is helping support Von Stueben Middle School and the McDonald's on University Street is lending a hand to Peoria Holy Family School.
Wednesday, November 14th the McDonald's at 10701 Knoxville Avenue will donate to Dunlap Grade School and McDonald's on Western Avenue will help out the Early Head Start Preschool.
