BLOOMINGTON--A Twin Cities couple made a brave move today.
They went bald to support cancer victims.
Sally Hawkins and her husband had their heads shaved this afternoon.
Their decision is part of the "Be bold, Be bald" campaign which raises money for cancer research.
Hawkins and her husband have lost four family members to the disease.
They plan to use their new looks to support cancer victims.
Hawkins says physically knowing what patients go through makes her feel closer to the cause.
"I was over there crying, because it is part of your identity. You get up in the morning and you style your hair and you go," Hawkins explained. To think I don't have part of my daily routine it is kind of scary."
"But look at how beautiful someone can be without hair," added husband Nathan.
Hawkins is also donating her hair to Locks of Love.
