A Bloomington food pantry, fighting to keep its supplies stocked, is asking for your support more than ever this Thanksgiving season.
The Clare House is joining with Schnucks grocery stores to start its annual holiday food drive.
From now until Thanksgiving people can drop off non-perishable items and personal hygiene products at the supermarket.
The goal is to collect enough supplies to last families in need an entire year.
People on the run can also buy prepackaged bags filled with food at both Bloomington and Normal Schnucks locations.
"It's important we all give back a little bit anyway we can, and this is a really easy way to do it. If you have extra food at home you didn't eat bring it in, you can do a canned food drive at your work and you can bring it in here," said Schnucks Customer Service Manager Aaron Miller.
This is the 18th year for the Clare House food drive.
Organizers started it a week early to collect more supplies.
