PEORIA- Due to the heavy volume of fall leaf collection , Peoria
Disposal Company is running behind on daily yard waste pickup. Residents
served by PDC should leave their yard waste at the curb the following
day if it is not picked up on your regularly scheduled day. The city's
yard waste collection for Wednesday, October 31st will end at 5pm to
increase public safety for children trick or treating on Halloween.
Collection routes not completed Wednesday will be finished Thursday
morning. Each collection route serves about 1200 homes each day. All
yard waste materials need to be placed out for collection before 6am in
the appropriate containers or yard waste bags and cannot exceed 50
pounds in weight. The city doesn't permit leaves to be raked to the curb
for collection and has 95 gallon wheeled tote carts available that can
be either purchased or rented directly from PDC.
