EAST PEORIA -- East Peoria's Festival of Lights has something new this year, and it's up to you to find it.
The Festival of Lights is adding an ornament hunt. The special five-inch round acrylic ornament will be hidden in a green box somewhere on public property within East Peoria's city limits.
The hiding place can be inside or outside.
East Peoria's spokesperson Jill Peterson said it's important to pay attention to the clues. She said, "They will post clues once a week starting November 21 and those will be in the East Peoria Times Courier, on FOLEPI.ORG, which is the festival of lights website and the East Peoria Festival of Lights Facebook page."
The hunt will kick off on November 21. The winner will win more than $1,000 dollars worth of prizes.
