Davis Endorsed by Three Newspapers

With a week to go to the election, Republican congressional candidate Rodney Davis of Taylorville received the endorsement of the Bloomington Pantagraph, Champaign News Gazette and Decatur Herald and Review. Davis is facing a challenge by Democrat David Gill who has run unsuccessfully twice before against Tim Johnson in the old 15th district. In a new poll issued Monday, Davis is leading Gill by a 5 percent margin. The Davis-Gill race is one of several congressional races up for grabs as the Republicans attempt to hold on to their House majority.
