PEORIA HEIGHTS- Kellar Primary School in Peoria is tried to break a world record Saturday.
Students, parents and faculty dressed as zombies for "Thrill the World." It's an attempt to break the world record for the most people dancing to Michael Jackson's "Thriller" at the same time.
The school practiced long and hard to learn the moves, then at 2:00 Saturday afternoon, everyone danced along with thousands of others around the world.
One organizer says the event is not only fun, but helps people here at home.
"What's exciting is that the thrill the world organization is charitable, so Kellar primary has decided to ask for free world donations today for the Children's Hospital of Illinois Child life Department," organizer Heidi Bauer said.
Kellar has an initiative to promote family bonding through physical activity. Bauer said this was the perfect Halloween event to get families together.
