NORMAL--The father of a student accused of a shooting at Normal Community High School last month pleads not guilty to charges alleging he gave his son the gun.
Forty three year old Rodney Kinder was arraigned Friday.
He's charged with unlawful delivery of a firearm.
Kinder plead not guilty to both counts.
Prosecutors say Kinder gave his 14 year old son a 22 caliber Ruger handgun for Christmas last year.
By law, the boy is not old enough to possess the weapon, and does not have a FOID card.
Kinder is back in court November 30th for a status hearing.
