MCLEAN COUNTY - There's an unusual creature roaming through Bloomington's Comlara Park.
It's a White Fox. Park officials believe it's a type of Red Fox that was bred for its fur. The park doesn't know how the rare animal ended up in the park.
The White Fox is typically a more domesticated version of a Red Fox. But that doesn't mean you should approach it.
"I would recommend not approaching it," said Mike Steffa of McLean County Parks and Rec. "You just don't know. We don't know exactly where it came from, it might have a wild streak in it. We don't know. So the best thing is to just stay away from it."
Steffa says the fox should be able to survive through the winter.
