The Streator Police Department's Chief Jeffery Anderson will retire after serving as Chief for 13 years.
Officials say they will have an interim Chief until they can have a formal recruitment and an assessment process for a permanent replacement.
Pastirik started as a patrolmen in 1991 and then got promoted to Sergeant in 1998, and then to Lieutenant in August of 2009.
