The father of a 14 year old accused of a shooting at Normal Community High School last month was indicted Wednesday by the McLean County grand jury. Police arrested 43 year old Rodney Kinder of Bloomington and charged him with two counts of unlawful delivery of a firearm. He's accused of giving a 22 caliber Roger handgun to his son last Christmas. The teen doesn't have a FOID card and isn't old enough to legally possess a firearm. Prosecutors say the 14 year old allegedly took the weapon to school on September 7th and fired it in a classroom. Kinder is also accused of giving the boy a rifle earlier this year. Kinder, who is free on bond, is due in court October 26th. His son is due in juvenile court next month.
