Speed Enforcement Detail Nets Dozens of Tickets

As part of its second Speeding Enforcement Detail, Bloomington Police report a morning detail netted 85 speeding tickets for those caught speeding on Veterans Parkway approaching Main Street. Police say the three hour detail motorists were only stopped if they were at least 13 miles over the speed limit. The fastest speed was 79 mph and most of the violators were traveling in excess of 60mph. The latest speed enforcement detail was the result of complaints from citizens about speeding.
