Greater Peoria Home Sales Continue Improvement In 3rd Quarter

PEORIA, IL --
Home sales activity continues to increase throughout Central Illinois.
The Peoria Area Association of Realtors announced 3rd quarter numbers showed continued improvement in the housing sector.
3rd quarter numbers for single family home and condominium sales were up 12.8%
The average sales price in the Peoria area rose by 7% in the 3rd quarter to just over $157,000.
PAAR says the Peoria area is a great place to buy or sell a home.
Locally the median price for a home hit a record high in July of just under $140,000.
