PEORIA-The polls are now open for voters to cast their ballot for next month's election.
Monday, early voting began in Illinois. Illinois Central College's north campus was one of four Peoria locations to see lines of voters. More than one hundred people voted at the site.
Thomas Bride, executive director of Peoria Election Commission, said early voters must be registered and have a photo I.D. Early voting ends November 3.
Bride advises voters not to wait until the last day.
"If you want to guarantee standing in line, you'll probably wait until (November 3). But the earlier you come out, I think the better," he said.
Early voters in Peoria can also vote at the Peoria Election Commission office, the Peoria County Board office and the Care & Treatment Board at 2016 North Knoxville.
