PEORIA -- Visitors finally got a long awaited look inside when the doors opened at 10 A.M... and it didn't take long for the place to fill up.
Many people enjoyed the IHSA Interactive room. It has games for kids and memorabilia from area schools.
Another popular spot was the Dome Planetarium.
Everyone we talked to is giving the museum an A+, and some say, you need more than one day to see it all.
Jim Fennell said, "I think it's, wow, it's amazing. I can't wait to come back with the grandkids and show them all the things we're still learning."
Minday Gudat, "It's nice and big, that's good. We need it."
Noah Rodmam said, "Yeah, I think this is much more fun than a regular museum like you have all these activities. Who would think you'd put a baseball thing in a museum, I mean that's really neat."
Chappie Chapman said, "I thought it was absolutely spectacular and it's total state of the art it doesn't get any better than what we've just witnessed."
The Giant Screen Movie Theater makes its debut on Monday. The first movie showing will be National Geographic's "Sea Monsters."
