The West Bloomington Revitalization Project is Hosting a "tool drive."
The organization which helps city residents is asking people to donate items like hammers, screwdrivers, and wrenches.
They'll be accepted at the West Side Community Gardens, located on the corner of Mulberry and Roosevelt Street.
Organizer Matt LaLonde says the effort will save people money.
Instead of buying items for repair, they can borrow.
"Just like you would a book from the library," LaLonde explained. "Not everyone wants to go out and buy a book that they're going to read and put on a shelf and never use again. So, it just sort of made sense."
Organizers say tool libraries are popping up across the nation.
The drive takes place Saturday afternoon from three till five.
Items can also be dropped off at the West Bloomington Revitalization Project office on Wednesdays from three to five pm.
It's located at 800 West Washington Street in Bloomington.
