Mt. Hawley Airport Expands Runway

Mt. Hawley airport has a new runway extension.
The Metropolitan Airport Authority announced the extension with a ribbon cutting in Peoria Thursday afternoon.The 400-foot extension will give Mt. Hawley a 4,000-foot runway, making it easier for larger aircraft to land at the airport, and bringing in more business,
The project cost just under one million dollars.
