NORMAL - A new kind of meals on wheels is now roaming the streets of the Twin Cities.
It's an authentic double decker red bus like you see in London. The difference is it also has room to cook and eat.
A London native and his business partner renovated the bus, then started a business called "Two Blokes and a Bus."
The business made its debut at the Alamo II bookstore in Normal around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. A line was there and waiting before the bus even arrived.
The first person to place an order, Jacob Degeal, thinks highly of the culinary addition.
"I think with Uptown Normal and all the redevelopment going on there, there's more and more restaurants, more and more variety coming in. This is just one more example of that variety, and I think Bloomington can also benefit too as well," he said.
For now, the business is only allowed to operate on private properties in both Bloomington and Normal.
You can look for it around the Twin Cities during lunch, but the owners are looking to expand their offerings.
