The Peoria County Budget Plans On Spending Less Than Last Year

PEORIA--Peoria County is projecting a balanced budget and plans on spending less than last year.
The total budget for 2013 is roughly 203-million dollars which is 16% less than this years budget. The county plans on spending about 4% less than in 2012.
Property taxes in the county remain the same but some county jobs will be eliminated through attrition. While the county faces new challenges, the board continues to asess the budget quarterly to stay on track.
