BLOOMINGTON--A trip to the McLean County Clerk turned into a surprise proposal for one local lady.
Thursday afternoon her boyfriend of just three months publicly asked for her hand in marriage.
He popped the question in the clerk's downtown office.
It's a place he thought made sense, since people must go there to get a marriage license.
Lucky for him, she said yes.
"My heart dropped!" said a just engaged Kimberly King. "I said, 'What do you mean?' He said, 'We're getting married, I love you. This is it forever. I want to do this. I want to be with you.' And, so, we're here!"
The pair is now in search of a ring.
They plan on sharing their surprise news with family members tomorrow.
Congratulations to you both!
