The hotly contested 17th Congressional District race between incumbent Bobby Schilling and challenger Cheri Bustos got even hotter Wednesday as Schilling accused Bustos of campaign violation of the federal election law. Schilling's campaign filed a complaint with the FEC claiming Bustos campaign violated federal election law by allegedly coordinating with the House Majority PAC, a super PAC by distributing campaign footage for use in independent expenditure buys in Illinois. Illinois Republican Party Chairman Pat Brady said Bustos owes the voters an explanation. The super PAC claims it did nothing wrong.
