SPRINGFIELD - Governor Pat Quinn's plan to shut down some Illinois prisons hits another roadblock.
Wednesday a judge issued an injunction that prevents the governor from closing the facilities.
The governor wants to close the prisons - including the Dwight Correctional Center - to save money, but state employee union AFSCME is suing. It says the move would put too much stress on an already overcrowded state prison system.
Quinn could appeal the judge's decision, or he could wait for the Illinois General Assembly to take action.
The Dwight Correctional Center is one of the town's largest employers. Dwight's mayor say the closure would cripple the town's economy.
