PEKIN- Less than a month away from election day and Tazewell County still doesn't have enough voting judges.
Christie Webb is the Tazewell County Clerk said they are still short 39 judges, especially Democrat judges in the Washington area. The clerk said to sign up people just need to be a registered voter in Tazewell County.
Webb said it's a fun year to be a part of the voting process.
"And a presidential year is much more busy than a municipal year. I mean you're pretty active all day long," Webb said.
There is one training session on Saturday, October 13th and another Wednesday, October 17th. Training sessions are three hours long. Judges will get paid $135 if they attended the training and $110 if they don't.
Call the county clerk at (309) 477-2267 if you're interested, or visit their website for more information.
