DUNLAP- People are excited about the opening of the Peoria Riverfront Museum, and Darin Blunier has been working hard to be ready in time for the grand opening.
Blunier will supply the popcorn for the museums theater. He owns Bluhaven farm in Dunlap and says his father started growing popcorn there in the 1970's.
The farm is still a family business, where a lot of the work is done by hand. Blunier said he's excited to partner with the museum and is glad it decided to buy local.
"About 90 percent of our sales are local. So we do market some out of state, but we do try to stay local so that we can work with the customer. And they know who we are," Blunier said.
Blunier said he hasn't been inside the museum yet and is excited to see the finished product in two weeks on opening day.
