McLEAN COUNTY-- McLean County has a new State's Attorney.

Jason chambers was sworn into office this afternoon.

He replaces interim State's Attorney Ron Dozier.

Dozier is a former county judge appointed by the board after State's Attorney Bill Yoder was appointed associate judge late last year.

Chambers has many items on his to-do list, but there is one that really stands out.

"I want to focus on violent crimes in our community," says Chambers. Things that are happening in the home that lead to the cycle of crime."

Chambers won the republican primary for the office and faces no opposition in the November election.
