Armed Robbery Suspect Loses Court Fight

A Gary, Indiana man, charged in McLean County with armed robbery, tried unsuccessfully Friday to convince a judge to let him represent himself at his upcoming trial. 24 year old Allen Brown has pleaded NOT GUILTY to armed robbery and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. He and Keisean Ellis of Normal were each charged with robbing the Casey's General Store on Gill Street in Bloomington last year. Ellis is serving a 6 year prison sentence. Brown is back in court October 18th.
