Bloomington Police Investigating Car Accident Involving Asst. Chief

BLOOMINGTON - Bloomington's Assistant Police Chief is ticketed for leaving the scene of a property damage accident earlier this week.
We told you Assistant Police Chief Bob Wall was under investigation for driving his own vehicle into a pole on Ireland Grove Road around 8:00 pm Wednesday night.
Police say Assistant Chief Wall left the scene and drove a short distance to his house to report the accident.
Bloomington Police Chief Randy McKinley says officers questioned wall at his home.
Officers said there was quote "no intoxication, but a slight odor of alcohol could be detected."
Assistant Chief Wall passed sobriety tests, and admitted to having a couple drinks earlier in the evening.
Wall was also cited for improper lane usage.
He was off duty at the time.
The state's attorney's office may review the case.
