The Bloomington-Normal Sunrise Rotary Club held its annual "Brats and Bags" fundraiser Friday. Until 1 p.m., volunteers sold brats, chips and drinks in downtown Bloomington to raise money for the Midwest Food Bank.
It's the club's biggest fundraiser. Last year, the group raised nearly $20,000, and they're hoping to reach that amount again this year. The money helps local food banks feed children in need.
"It might not be a lot of food, but they're getting something to go home for the weekend. Things that are easy to open for the kids that they can prepare themselves," said Jamie Mathy.
Friday night, the club shut down part of Main Street for a corn hole tournament. It lasted until 9 p.m. Anyone is welcome to sign up for a fee.
