PEORIA- Two Peoria Police officers, indicted last month for allegedly
trying to cover up an accident investigation, pleaded NOT GUILTY
Thursday. Vice officer John Couve and Patrol Sergeant Richard Glover are
each charged with official misconduct and obstructing justice. Police
reports show an unmarked car, assigned to Couve was involved in a crash
July 8th on North Hale which caused a large power outage. Glover was the
first officer to respond and wrote the accident report which allegedly
claimed the vehicle had been stolen. Both men are free on bond and will
appear in court November 9th.
