Retiring CFO to Appear on Hit Show "House Hunters"

BLOOMINGTON - The search is on for a new Chief Financial Officer at COUNTRY Financial.
Dave Magers is retiring in January after 35 years.
Magers spent time not only working at COUNTRY, but also its sister companies GROWMARK and the Illinois Farm Bureau.
He said Tuesday he will miss the "complexity of this job, but he's looking forward to the second half of his life.
Magers calls himself a car guy, and his next gig plays into that interest.
He is joining Wisconsin-based Mecum Auto Auctions as CEO.
"I'm very comfortable leaving COUNTRY knowing it's in great hands, and this is an opportunity to do something that's a passion. Cars are a passion of mine," Magers said.
Magers is keeping his house in Bloomington and he's staying involved with many community organizations.
But he and his wife recently bought a condo in Chicago so he can commute to his new job in Lake Geneva.
In fact, you'll be able to see the couple's new place on an upcoming episode of the hit reality TV show "House Hunters" on HGTV.
