A Normal High School freshman, charged with firing shots inside the high school a few weeks ago, will be examined for fitness. During a court hearing Monday, the defense asked the judge in a petition to see if the boy is fit to stand trial. The teen was ordered held until his next court hearing. Authorities say the freshman brought three handguns, a knife and a hatchet in his backpack. The boy, police say, managed to fire one of the guns in class before a teacher tackled him.
