BLOOMINGTON - A new survey says the City of Bloomington is one of the best places for drivers.

CNN Money looked at all U.S. cities with populations of 50,000 to 300,000.

It then narrowed down the list to 100 cities based on several demographics like eduction, diversity, economic stability and health care.

Bloomington not only made the cut as a top small city to live in for 2012, but it also ranked 20th for drive time.

CNN Money estimates Bloomington has an average commute of 12.4 minutes.

That finding is partially based on interviews and town visits with people in the city, so WMBD 31 wanted to know if people really think it's true.

Bloomington resident Mike Kruse said, "It seems like everything in town is pretty much 12-15 minutes away. My parents live on the other side of Normal. I can get to their house in about 12-15 minutes."

Kruze also said he can go between his house and work in less than 12.4 minutes.

CNN Money ranked Manhattan, Kansas number one for the best commute.
