Ravina On The Lakes Celebrates 30 Years

PEORIA -- Ravina on the Lakes on Charter Oak Road is normally a private park, but today it opened its doors to the public for the first time.
The park is celebrating 30 years in business, so it invited families to come eat, play and enjoy the scenery.
Owner Lynette Demanes said the business used to only hold corporate events, but over time has evolved into a top spot for weddings.
Demanes said today is about thanking the park's supporters. "A lot of people want to come into the park, they think of it as a park, they want to be able to enjoy it and it's beautiful here, so we're very appreciative of the community supporting us all of these years so we wanted to give back and give them an opportunity to just come out and enjoy the day."
Demanes said her goals for the future include expanding the space and the amenities.
