TOULON- An amber alert has been issued for a three-week-old baby who was abducted in Toulon Thursday morning, and now the grandfather wants answers.

"My wife called me and she ws in a state of panic. She told me that our granddaughter, one-month-old Mia Graci Thompson had been abducted," said Mia's grandfather, Ken Meaker.

He said his daughter, Mia's mother, is devastated.

"She's just confused, shocked, scared just, you know, just don't know what to do," Meaker said.

Meaker said in a small town like Toulon, this is not something he never worried about, and that he was shocked when his wife called to tell him.

"My heart jumped out of my chest. My granddaughters mean the world to me," he said.

And Meaker has a message for the person who took his granddaughter, "Out of love and respect for my family, bring her back or turn her over to fire department, police, anybody."

We drove by the house where Mia lives and saw a crime scene investigator. Police told us the mother's car is being treated as a possible crime scene.
The investigator said they are trying to uncover any clues they can get to find out what happened to this little girl.

Mia Graci Thompson was abducted around 8:10 Thursday morning from the back seat of her mother's vehicle. She's described as a white female, weighing eight pounds and 21 inches in length. The child was wearing a yellow onesie with a flower on the left shoulder and blue jeans with pink flowers on the cuffs.

Police say no family members are suspects right now. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 and advise they have an amber alert report.
