NORMAL - The Town of Normal is calling it a "wonderful problem."
The new multimillion dollar Uptown Station is drawing praise from thousands of visitors.
But it's become so popular, it's starting to become disruptive.
City Manager Mark Peterson said Tuesday the town is "slammed" with constant requests for tours and meetings.
Peterson said it's reached a point where town staff are having to meet elsewhere because conference rooms are always booked.
He said he's now in the process of reviewing the building's meeting policy.
"I'm in the final stages of reviewing a new meeting room policy, which will still provide free access to the public for meetings, but there will be some limitations. We'll give first priority to other government agencies and not-for-profit organizations," Peterson told WMBD 31.
Other proposed changes include no more weekend or after hour events.
However, Peterson stressed people are still invited to tour and request meeting space.
He said it's best to call ahead at (309) 454-2444.
