PEORIA -- Donors, parents and students are celebrating a more than two-year fundraising effort at Richwoods High School.
The goal was to fix up the school's tennis courts.
Through $44,000 of private donations and help from the district, the tennis courts under went renovations this summer.
Cracks on the court were repaired, along with new paint and fencing.
Leader Patti Shaw said the high school's tennis teams are not the only ones benefitting from the fix. "The district owns the courts and allows, you know, it's open to the general public and the park district uses them and we definitely use them."
Shaw said her next goal is to get lights up near the court.
