Families Gather To Remember Lost Loved Ones

PEORIA -- Families gathered together to remember loved ones lost to violence and tragedy.

It's the third annual Day of Rememberance.

The event was started as an outlet and resource for those who are grieving.

It started with a walk along the Riverfront. Founder Yolanda Wallace led the group in prayer and with a moment of silence.

Betty Fergueson attended the event. She is remembering her son, Ronald. "It's been a blessing that they have it every year. It just brings memories every year to help us cope with the loss of our kids."

Fergueson said the event continues to grow. She plans to attend every year.
