Earlier this week, we told you the story of 17 month old Keegan Gallup, who is battling Cat Eye Syndrome - a disease that is shutting down part of his heart.
GERMANTOWN HILLS-Medical bills have been rising up for his parents
So friends and family decided they wanted to pitch in - by holding a fundraiser tonight in Germantown Hills.
Dinner, raffle, and a silent auction helped in raising the money that would go towards those bills.
Keegan's parents say some medical bills have reached seven figures...So they are happy with whatever people chip in.
Keegan's Mother, Krista Carmody, says, "We're in the hospital all the time. We've had to go to Boston. We don't know if we'll have to go back there...with medical bills....Im not able to work. So it actually helps out quite a bit."
Parents say they had no specific money goal for tonight
They hope that he will be able to grow out of some of the complications that comes with Cat-Eye Syndrome.
