BARTONVILLE- Eighteen bands from across the state came together Saturday to battle it out at Limestone Community High School.
It was the second annual Limestone Marching Rockets Field Competition. Limestone's assistant band director, Stevi Rzeszutko said since this competition is early in the year, it's a good opportunity for many bands to get feedback from the judges that will help them improve their shows.
She said a lot of hard work goes into this competition, and she's happy to work with her students.
"I just love seeing the kids develop and grow throughout the program. We have these kids for four years and we get to see them from their freshman year to their senior year develop as musicians and as people in general. It's just a lot of fun for me," Rzeszutko said.
